CE Marking Market Surveillance Mechanism Europe has an
effective, CE Marking Market Surveillance Mechanism. Under
this, enforcement officials of CE Marking regulations of various member
states, regularly visit the market place to: o Verify that only CE Marked products are on the market
shelves o Withdraw non conforming products from the market o Where they suspect that a product has been inappropriately
CE Marked, to challenge the CE Marking When the CE Mark on a
product is challenged, the manufacturer or his authorized representative,
located in Europe shall produce the CE Marking Technical Construction File
(TCF) immediately to the enforcement authorities of CE Marking regulations. The TCF will be examined by
technically competent agencies and if found in order, the matter shall
pass. If the TCF could not be produced by manufacturer or his
authorized representative or if the TCF is found to be grossly in adequate,
then the product will be order to be recalled and the manufacturer may even
