What is the potential
saving? |

The savings depend on where you
are located and what category of consumer you are. Today, depending on the size of
the rooftop solar system, the generation cost comes to about Rs.3 – 5 per
unit. In a system without battery storage,
virtually there are no running/ maintenance costs. Therefore, the unit cost of generation is
calculated based on the capital/ initial investment costs. A non-domestic consumer in Delhi
pays around Rs.7.54 to 10.82 per unit today (September, 2013). So there is a clear, minimum saving of Rs.2.50 per unit
and this may go up to as much as Rs.7.82 per unit. In adjoining states of Haryana, Rajasthan and UP the
savings are marginally lower today, but by next year or a couple of years
down, they will match Delhi’s tariff. The environmental benefits are immense. Learn all about saving energy costs on our site. We are always glad to meet you in person
