No product can normally be CE Marked by applying merely the Directives. Hundreds of product specific standards are linked or listed under these Directives. These are called the Harmonized Standards. A product can be CE Marked only by applying the corrective CE Marking Directives, correct Harmonized Standards and stringent inspection and testing according to the applicable Harmonized Standards.

These, European, Harmonized Standards are NOT freely available and are quite expensive.
